One of the features of this book is that it is a new Japanese textbook that combine themes and tasks. Another one is that it treats themes that can only be learned after coming to Japan. It does not treat topics related to tourist attractions such as the Mount Fuji or geishas, but rather topics closely related to the student’s life like local shopping streets and job hunting, and it is an excellent textbook for both thinking deeply about Japan and learning Japanese for international students.
