My Favorite Kanji Book includes 191 kanjis. Each of them includes an illustration with some similarities and a haiku. Each kanji only includes 1 possible reading, hence, this is not a book for studying kanji, but a divulgation book to review them.
The book has been written and designed by Bret Mayer, the first American person who passed the first level of the Kanji Kentei exam. He currently teaches kanji at the university of Ritsumeikan.
